Well, it isn't a new show
...but definitely a good way to spend 30 minutes.

Makin' Friends
He's working on his musical skills...ladies love musicians.
He's seen Raju's style...
...and wants to improve his own as much as he can.
He also wants to be more mature.
Unfortunately he hasn't learned yet how to control his Irish nature, and got a little out of control.
I hope that last one isn't any kind of resentment about Raju's old job. I'm sure it's not. The Irish never suppress resentment.
Anyway, we all have our growing pains, but from what I've seen, he'll be a good guy once he gains a little more life experience.

The Most Amazing Thing I Saw At Disney World
Other curious item of note:
How did Chaucer possibly resist building his own lightsaber at Tatooine Traders? A seven step process where at each step you had 3-5 options of which piece to add. The only way I can imagine Chaucer not having to be strapped into his own stroller and dragged out of there by Julie is that he already owned pretty much everything in the store. That, or there's just way more sophisticated Star Wars stuff available in non-Disney packages.

Operation Ivy League
Another feather in Columbia's cap.
I wonder if the NYPD has any idea that they've only barely scratched the surface of what goes down uptown.

So Now That This Is A Cat Blog
One of the many demoralizing columns I have written to pay my bills includes this gem of a slide show: Cats in Hats! I promise there's only one picture of a cat giving birth.
CAT RANTS! By Professor Edwin J. Cattington (the Third, my good man!)
*If five years ago someone had told you that one of the biggest political controversies in the US would be the "birther movement," would you have had any idea what they were talking about?
*Kanye West should interrupt Leslie Nielsen's funeral to be like, "Hey, Ron Santo died this week, too!"
*90% of domestic abuse happens on Cyber Monday. Seriously!
*If all the nations of the world had to pick one nation to kill the founder of Wikileaks, they'd obviously pick Russia. Putin would skip over framing him for a sex crime and go right to uranium-tipped umbrella poking.
*Lady Gaga can't be this generation's Madonna. Madonna was hot.
*Is anyone else bothered by the Jewfro that one sheriff on The Walking Dead has? Is that not distracting? How is that character not named Eli?
*The World Cup in Qatar is like having the World Cricket Championship on top of a mountain in West Virginia.
*David Pogue is one of those random people who it's going to really upsetting when he dies.
*A new Tron movie could only have been made after everyone collectively forgot how shitty Tron was.
*Reading the trending searches on Yahoo! Buzz is like staring into the brain of a really, really stupid person.

Syl Johnson
Syl Johnson w/ The Sweet Divines at Southpaw on Friday 12/3.
It sounds like maybe he doesn't go on until midnight, and otherwise it's 60's soul night up to that point. And it's $15. I don't know, it's not ideal, but I still want to check it out, so let me know if any of the rest of you are interested. I will be arriving in BK early Friday evening.
