Okay, I currently have the following Teams confirmed.
Gabi & Josh
John & Ben
Adz & Nad
Schwartz & Joe
Ashley&Sol
Dave& Hubert
Adam & Dan
Last time Matt lambdin and Mike Ellis were a team. Since mike's not around maybe scott could play with him. Or fishbach. basically I think we need a minimum of 8 teams. Can someone reach out to those 2??
Events:
Day 1:
Mario Kart, Trivia Contest, Pictionary/Charades, Newlywed Game, Bowling
Day 2:
Horse, Dodgeball, Taboo, Egg Toss, Scavenger Hunt
I have 2 main concerns.
1: we need people to write content for Scavenger Hunt, Newlywed Game, and Trivia. Any volunteers or suggestions???
2: I'm concerned dodgeball isn't easily executed. Any other ideas for outdoor events on Day 2.
I away your thoughts.

I'm in, but I am still vetting former, current, and future roommates for the one who can drink hardest and kill quickest.
ReplyDelete- Noam
*All we need for Dodgeball is a stretch of concrete, a red rubber ball, and some chalk and/or cones.
ReplyDelete*For trivia last time we used Trivial Pursuit questions--I think that worked well.
*I would be willing to put together the list for the scavenger hunt, provided Gabi and I are still allowed to participate. I could send out the list ahead of time so all of us would be on equal footing.
*I remember Newlywed Game as a total fiasco, and think it should be replaced by a drinking event--flip cup, case race, Beirut, quarters, chamber, anything.
Also, where is the Athas/Raju alliance?
ReplyDelete1. PLEASE do Wii something instead of mario kart. I feel like you have to know the game to play it and Nad and I are clueless. Wii is easy!
ReplyDelete2.Chuacer.. how will that work with the scavenger hunt, having it all out before? Isn't that too easy?
I am with you about dodgeball. We should do something that can be done in prospect park, along with everything else.
ReplyDeleteHow about good old fashioned relay races?
I could come up with newlywed game, or every team could submit one newlywed question to ensure equality and so that no one has to stay out of it.
three-legged race in lieu of dodgball... perfect pair sport.
ReplyDeletealso, I'm assuming the venue for Friday night is our apt?
nad/ad - you can come practice mario kart!
I think the scavenger hunt would be 1000 times better with a third party organizing
ReplyDeleteMario Kart is a Wii game and ridiculously easy. it's just turning.
Someone posit a drinking game, and we'll swap something.
You need more than one ball to play dodgeball. A possible substitute could be wiffleball.
ReplyDeleteAnother event that we did last time that I think produced thrilling drama was the 3-legged race.
OK then, mario kart it is..
ReplyDeleteChaucer or shwizza, can one of you get in touch with sheila? Maybe she could do it again??!!
Three legged race.. thrilling results
If we do a drinking game, it should be to test drunk skills, not sober skills, so it needs to be mandatory that everyone is properly buzzed before the event begins.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the only problem I remember with the Newlywed game was that Hasani and Michele won. Other than that, didn't it go fine?
present.

1.) I think the drinking game should be Beirut or Baseball Quarters. That way we can properly play 2 on 2. Flip cup would be boring 2 on 2 and I don't know how it would work with bigger teams.
ReplyDelete2.) As for trivia, Trivial Pursuit would probably be fine. But I can ask Liam (the self-styled "Quiz Master" from Baker Street Trivia nights) for his questions if you guys want me to. He always does an awesome job.
3.) I also vote for Wii Bowling or Tennis instead of Kart--but simply because I am terrible at the Kart.
4.) I think the scavenger hunt should be prepared by a 3rd party as well. Same with the Newly Wed Game if we are still doing it.
*I will ask Sheila to prepare a Scavenger Hunt, but since she won't be there to administer it, I suspect what we'll get is a traditional scavenger hunt list -- a bunch of things you have to gather in a given amount of time, like a brown egg, a menu from an Ethiopian restaurant, a picture of a stranger's ass, etc.
ReplyDelete*I think we should do a Beirut tournament. That will allow the testing of drunk skills. Maybe we should use a reduced number of cups, though, so each game doesn't last forty-five minutes.
