- Revisions: Get the trivia guy to write questions. But no hipster bullshit like #1 singles by the shins. a legitimate mix of categories. Current Events, Geography, Pop culture, Audio or visual clues, etc
- 3-Legged Race replaces dodgeball. Unless someone besides Chaucer is lobbying for dodgeball. We could do something to mix it up. Like a quarter mile three legged race.
- I think day one is the day for a drinking game so I'd suggest replacing the Newlywed Game with Beirut or quarters. Thoughts?

Sorry my loves, but I'm out on this round of the RO - I just got back from a bus. trip and have another at the end of the month. Anything that requires any sort of planning or thinking that I'm not getting paid for is not happening for me at the moment.

ReplyDeleteWell, since I obviously can't bowl, I would vote for air hockey instead. But since I'm not sure how that would work as a partner sport, I also propose darts: 2 on 2 cricket.

if anything i think Kart should drop to make room for the above because it involves all 18 of us huddled inside around a TV screen which seems contrary to the spirit of the games & cramped.
also its a really slow opener. [unlike say, AIRHOCKEY]
additionally, as a DayII drinking event -- which is both necessary and important to the success of the 3legged race and post-egg toss egg-peg -- perhaps a YARD SCULLING RELAY RACE;[look it up on wikipedia] [yardglasses available on amazon.com] [all praises to Ashley for the idea].
I absolutely can't stand air hockey, but if people feel really strongly pro, I'll concede the point.
ReplyDelete-Darts would take eternity. I'm trying to keep some flow here. Mario Kart is up to 4 players, it's the only video game, and based on last week pretty exciting. Plus it goes quickly.

ReplyDeletei say yay to air hockey. it was an original event and was a lot of fun last time. also, it moves rather quickly and does keep us out of sol and ashley's apartment for one more event. it's just going to get cramped in there.
ReplyDeleteThe Scavenger Hunt list is in the works, courtesy of Julie, who is guaranteeing that there is no way I can see it before the event. Again, it will be a list of items to gather, not clues. Also, every team will need a digital camera.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Team Even has me incredibly excited. The Josh/Katie air hockey match-up alone will be priceless.
A couple things. After polling the general interest level, it seems clear there is more enthusiasm for Air Hockey. So, Mario Kart is now replaced by Air Hockey. UNLESS people feel stronger about Mario Kart than another event.
ReplyDeleteAlso, after thinking about it some more, I think the scoring should give more wait to coming in first. say 12 for first, and then 2-5 the same. really incentivize the win, so no lead is safe.
YAY! Air Hcokey! I din't understand the incentive to win stuff, probs cuz I am not concerned about losing. Let the trash talking begin!
