The Montauk 136: A Labor Day Worthy Of Its Name
It took waking at 7am.
It took a beer at 7:30am.
It took delirious public stretching
And a serendipitous wine tasting.
There were Highs
There were Lows
But two weeks ago, four determined & cranky warriors risked erectile damage, tank-sized treadmarks, and lethal amounts of Gatorade to arrive in Montauk.
Godbless the MTA for letting us back home with the bikes.
**not pictured highs: Jon swimming in his tighty-blackies.
**not pictured lows: Three men on a double bed, being in the middle of two of those men, it being 150 degrees on the double bed, Joe all of Day I.

Kudos gentleman. Very impressive performance.
ReplyDeleteI look amazingly happy and healthy in these pictures compared to how I felt...especially that wine tasting picture. I'm not sure how I was even standing up at that moment.
ReplyDeleteBut what a trip! Can't wait till next year.
Another highlight: riding past Josh's East Hampton stomping grounds, including the bagel place, Steven Hands Path, the grocery store where he worked as a youngster, and the big left turn down through downtown East Hapton (where we almost lost Jon...that would have been the lowest of lowlights).
ReplyDeleteNice Ride All. You guys map the route on google maps or something? I would love to see the route.
