From the Desk of Honeyknuckles

I've been meaning for some time to post a bit of an update regarding Washington Heights Free Radio, and now that Jules and Adz are requesting playlists, it seems like the ideal time to kill two birds with one stone.

If you click on the title of this post, it'll take you to the recently awesomized WHFR.org, where you can stream, download, and comment on the last year+ of my radio shows. Each show (with some exceptions) has an accompanying playlist listing the songs played.

You can also follow the "ON AIR" link in the top right tonight at 8 EST and listen live to my Sol & Ashley wedding mix tribute show thing what-have-you, and/or wait a few days for the archive to become stream- and download-able.

I'll also add that this coming Tuesday, and the first Tuesday of every month, is WHFR night at the Ding Dong Lounge on 105th and Columbus, in which a few of my fellow DJs and I take over the turntables and gorge ourselves on beer. It's a trek for most of you, I know, but if you're in the mood for dimly lit Ms. Pac-Man and sweet jams, I can't think of a better option.

Rock on with your bad selves,

DJHK

  2. I should also mention that shit doesn't really get underway until 10 or 10:30.
