The car parked in this picture looks like a Model T, which they began producing in 1908. The 1903 Model A looked pretty different. And then there's this on wiki:
...on November 5, 1895, Selden was granted a United States patent (U.S. Patent 549,160) for a two-stroke automobile engine, which hindered, more than encouraged, development of automobiles in the United States. His patent was challenged by Henry Ford and others, and overturned in 1911.
I was going to say that it looked like flatbush ave, and then on closer inspection, flatbush is hand written onto the bottom. Cool.
ReplyDeleteis that the precursor of the burrito bar? "ye olde shack of flour-wrapped mexican meals"?
ReplyDeletegood call jon. that makes more sense...we'd be looking up prospect place then in this picture.
ReplyDeletejust noticed the real estate place says est. 1906, so I don't think this photo is in fact from 1890.

So sometime after 1908 seems pretty likely.
