  1. Unfortunately I don't have the book in front of me right now, but I came across a line in Against the Day last night that made me think of y'all.

Something about Switzerland rising before them like a lime sorbet after several roast ducks and assorted goose parts.

The goose parts = roof of Mudd.

  2. What does the plus sign mean? Does that just mean dial whatever to get an open line (e.g. 1)?

  3. what is the time difference? I was going to call you at 9pm NYC time. But I thought I might be waking you up.

Hope you both are well. We miss you!

  4. The time difference is +6 hours. So 9PM in NYC is 3AM in Basel. But call whenever. The plus sign means "dial whatever you need to get an international line." In the US, I THINK that is 011. And finally, I love lime sorbet!!
