Hello from Switzerland!

I just wanted to confirm proof of life for ya'll--Jules and I arrived safely and are now in our apartment in Basel. It's very comfortable and homey, and it includes a carpeted attic perfect for visitors. So, visit!

Setting up communications has been a challenge--computer problems, corporate and government incompetence, etc., etc., have made getting a phone and Internet tougher than expected. But we are on the right track, and once we are fully live I will blog more regularly.

I miss you guys and hope you all are well. Take care of yourselves, each other, and NYC. I'm already looking forward to the summer field trip to...? Scotland? Interlaken? Amsterdam?

Thursday, Febuary 15th, 9:30pm at Freddy's on Dean St. and 6th Ave in Brooklyn, my fiddle teacher Alicia is playing as part of the Brooklyn Winter Hoedown. She's awesome, so you're guaranteed a good time. And it's free. But if you plan on coming, try to show up a little early, because the back room isn't huge, and people packed the place last year.
