Hello from Switzerland!

I just wanted to confirm proof of life for ya'll--Jules and I arrived safely and are now in our apartment in Basel. It's very comfortable and homey, and it includes a carpeted attic perfect for visitors. So, visit!

Setting up communications has been a challenge--computer problems, corporate and government incompetence, etc., etc., have made getting a phone and Internet tougher than expected. But we are on the right track, and once we are fully live I will blog more regularly.

I miss you guys and hope you all are well. Take care of yourselves, each other, and NYC. I'm already looking forward to the summer field trip to...? Scotland? Interlaken? Amsterdam?

Looking Ahead

Peeps if you know what's good for you I recommend buying tickets to see Do Make Say Think for their upcoming show at Southpaw in Brooklyn. It's only $15. It's March 28th (Wednesday at 9PM). I recognize that the date is both far and on a weekday but if you buy the tickets now you'll have something to look forward to for almost two whole months. Also if anyone happens to have an extra ticket to The Arcade Fire shows this week please give it to me.

before the big game yesterday a few fine gents enjoyed a nice game of football on the tundra in prospect park. it's always good to toss the ol' pigskin around in the fresh air; nothing beats that perfectly placed spiral touchdown pass or the monster "i hit him so hard his shoes came off!" tackle. our friends likely woke up this chilly morning to some sore backs and creaky joints. here's a snapshot of the men after the game:
